City of Dothan- peanut design contest
The City of Dothan is holding a peanut design contest for a peanut at our new city hall in commemoration of the America 250 celebration!
Students can decorate the attached peanut with a patriotic theme, and the winners will receive a day pass to Water World and help inspire the final design of the peanut!
Details are below: Please share with Teachers/students/parents.
As we get ready to open our new City Hall next year, we’re planning a “Peanuts Around Town” peanut to go in front of the building and we want YOUR ideas! The theme of the peanut will be inspired by the America 250 Celebration, so think patriotic.
WHAT TO DO:
Print the peanut template and draw & color your perfect peanut for the City Hall entrance! You can also pick up a template at the front entrance desk at the Dothan Civic Center.
Return your masterpiece by April 30th using one of these options:
- Mail it to: PO Box 2128 Dothan, AL 36302 Attn: Community Relations
- Scan & email it to: community@dothan.org
- Drop it off at: The main entrance of the Civic Center
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT:
Entries will be grouped into three age categories: 5-7, 8-9, and 10-12. We’ll post all submissions on our social media by May 1st. Four winners will be chosen: one from each age group and one Fan Favorite, which will get the most likes & shares. Each winner will have their peanut inspire the new City Hall peanut and receive a day pass to Water World!
THE FINAL PRODUCT:
After the contest, the winning entries will help inspire the final peanut design in front of City Hall.
Note: We’re looking for creativity over staying inside the lines! Only first names and ages will be shared for winners. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
